Sensing History

Material and colour catalogues for exhibition design.

The catalogues are made as a working tool to create a sensory exhibition design for prehistoric object. For this project I worked with a collection of iron age ceramics and stone age amber, both from the National Museum of Denmark.

In developing the catalogues, I have explored how color and materials can be used to interpret the environments which the objects come from. For each environment I have developed a color and material tableau that speak to our senses by introducing tactile materials and colors with strong associations to nature.
